She was born in Tulancingo, Hidalgo. She lives in San Luis Potosí. Bachelor of Architecture. She is a visual artist with multiple interests within the various disciplines that make up her area of action. She formally ventured into the plastic arts in 1999 and, from this time, she has been acquiring knowledge and techniques in various fields, highlighting the sculptural; in which she started as a ceramist, convinced that this technique was the ideal vehicle to share her thoughts and sensitivity. She has obtained important recognitions: Second Place in the XXXI Edición del Premio Nacional de Cerámica (category contemporary sculpture), summoned by the Gobierno del Municipio de Tlaquepaque, Jalisco and the Patronato Nacional de la Cerámica, in 2007 and First Place in XXXII Edition of this same contest, in 2008.
The ways of Castelán soon looked for other directions and expressive forms, encountering jewelry, ritual art that has accompanied the human being since he became gregarious, from the need to decorate himself and express himself with colors, shapes and the whimsical handling of metals, stones and resins. These elements recently led her to be awarded the First Place of the 29° Concurso Internacional de Diseño de Joyería, convened by the Centro de Diseño de Joyería of this specialty in Jalisco (2017).
PFor the first time he exhibits in Oaxaca, being LARIMAR Galería Alternativa | Diseño, the headquarters of his exhibition that gathers a sample of his sculpture, embroidery and author jewelry.
