LILY SANTURTÚN
ATLANTES ONÍRICOS
20 SEPTEMBER - 20 OCTOBER 2019

Alchemist of water and clay, Lily Santurtún uses soul temperature in her works, so the pieces mold aerial forms of the dream. There is in this sculptress, a root with the telluric Goddesses: her mother was born in Tuxtepec, Oaxaca ... root and movement of nature that she needed when studying clay molding at the Colegio de Arte y Ciencia MOA, to later start learning how to do his own clays and enamels in the Taller experimental de Cerámica, Coyoacán.
Since 2014 he has exhibited uninterruptedly in different galleries, both in Mexico City and in the interior of the country ... the pieces he exhibits in this exhibition, whose title: Atlantes Oníricos, is a resonance of his work as an artist, is a sign of communion achieved in the attanor of this artist who captures what is dream on earth in her embrace with water and fire: her Atlante águila y su Atlante pájaro azul, así como su cuadro Alcatraz, las esculturas Olas rojizas, Otra dama azul, Acantilado, just to mention some of his works in this exhibition, are an example of that magic that Lily Santurtún's ceramics express when trapping the elements of nature as resonances of the dream.
