EMMANUEL FAMIANO

AESTHETIC REFLECTION

11 APRIL - 11 MAY 2019

Larimar Art Gallery | Oaxaca de Juárez, México

Emannuel Famiano is a young American photographer of Mexican origin, who began his career self-taught through various technical specialization courses, taught by prominent teachers such as photographer and film director Steve Carver and photographer Mark Takeuchi, professor of Pasadena Art Center.

Famiano approaches themes —such as social atomization, individualism and collective solitude that prevail in big cities— through the lens of an analog camera with a vintage aesthetic that refers us to avant-gardes such as surrealism and neofigurativism.
